Viva Gym offers 12 locations in Barcelona, making it convenient for fitness enthusiasts. Their Annual membership is priced at €322 with no joining fee. You can also opt for a monthly premium membership (access to all 4 clubs) at €31 with a €30 joining fee, or a monthly membership (1 club) at the same price but with a €15 joining fee. Despite the low cost, Viva Gym provides modern workout equipment, making it one of the most budget-friendly gyms in the city. However, it doesn't offer amenities like a swimming pool, sauna, or spa facilities, making it an ideal choice for those seeking an affordable fitness option.

Holmes Place

Holmes Place, with 4 locations in Barcelona, offers a sophisticated health center experience with an international and cosmopolitan ambiance. Their facilities include exclusive features and a wide range of activities. The Urquinaona center is particularly popular, offering amenities like a large swimming pool, full equipment, and a relaxation area. While memberships are a bit pricier at €91 per month for a minimum of 3 months, €81 per month for a 1-year membership, and €78 for a 2-year membership, Holmes Place provides a luxurious and pampering gym experience in Barcelona.

Clubs Metropolitan

Clubs Metropolitan, one of Barcelona's top gyms and part of a nationwide chain, boasts 7 locations in the city. They provide state-of-the-art equipment, luxurious amenities such as spa facilities, swimming pools, saunas, and even rooftop terraces. Their classes are led by professional instructors, and members receive personalized fitness plans. While their memberships are relatively expensive, with a 6-month all-day membership at the Sagrada Familia Club costing around €400 and an annual membership at €60 per month, the quality of facilities and services makes it an excellent choice for long-term stay residents and fitness enthusiasts seeking top-notch gym experiences in Barcelona.

Basic Fit

Basic-Fit offers two gyms in Barcelona near the Sagrada Familia, part of a vast European network with thousands of locations. Regardless of your fitness level or age, they provide tailored workouts through equipment or group classes. You can visit in person to explore or easily sign up online for a great fitness experience. Indo Bar

A plant-based cute bar that offers specialty coffee and açai on Carrer del General Álvarez de Castro 5 (La Ribera).

Familia Osorio

This coffee roastery from Manresa has two locations in Barcelona. You can find them on Dr. Trueta 149 (Poblenou), and C/ Rec 16 (Born).

Cafes El Magnifico

They have a long history of good coffee in Barcelona, so if you are a true coffee fan make sure you visit them. Argenteria 64 (Born).

Hidden Café

I love how much care is put into the coffee and their matcha sourcing at Hidden Café. C/ Constança/Déu I Mata (Les Corts) and their newest addition on Carrer dels Canvis Vells 10 (Born).

La Masala Café

Wonderful little place with vegetarian goodies and specialty coffee made with love with a La Marzocco.

Nomad

These guys roast their own coffee and distribute them to quite a few places in Barcelona and surroundings. Their roastery is located in Poble Nou, and they have three locations in the city center: Passatge Sert 12 (La Ribera)

Bars and restaurants

Casa Lolea Barcelona

Contemporary Spanish cuisine & sangria in an industrial-chic space with colorful, polka-dot decor.

Bormuth

Bormuth is my go-to spot for a delightful Saturday afternoon of tapas. The ambiance is wonderful, the tapas are delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable. It’s also a fantastic place for a vermouth if you have lunch arrangements elsewhere. And for those who appreciate craft beers, they offer a selection to satisfy your taste buds. Bodega La Puntual

Experience genuine cuisine crafted from top-notch ingredients within a venue steeped in history. As you enter, you’ll encounter a laid-back oyster bar offering select snacks, wine, and sparkling wine. Venture deeper inside, and you’ll discover a spacious dining area, suitable even for larger gatherings. Don’t miss the opportunity to savor the Arroz de Pluma Ibérica; it’s a true delight. Located at Carrer de Montcada 22 (Born).

Llamber

The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, and the food is exceptional. They recommend sharing all the dishes you select from the menu, which perfectly captures the essence of tapas dining. Located at Carrer de la Fusina 5 (Born).

Cal Pep

Yet another timeless gem! If you have a penchant for seafood, this place is a must-visit. You can either grab a seat at the bar by the entrance or opt for a table in the cozy dining room at the rear. The menu is a treasure trove of delectable delights, and the waitstaff are not only welcoming but also quite the comedians. Be prepared for a bit of a wait, as this place tends to draw quite the crowd! Located at Plaça de les Olles 8 (Born).
